FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
As an introductory session, this will be centred around discussing the struggles you are currently facing, your hopes for support and any goals you may have. It is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, to talk about you, and essentially, what is bringing you to therapy. It is normal to feel some anxiety going into the session and many people feel as though a weight has been lifted after the session is over.
We are currently only offering virtual therapy sessions, all of which are conducted through Google Meets. A link for the session will be emailed to you after you have booked an appointment.
Please be advised that access to a private and confidential space is required for all appointments.
We are currently offering evening time appointments only.
Our rates are currently 175.00$ per individual therapy session. We also offer 15 minute phone consultation appointments, free of charge.
We accept all major credit cards as methods of payments.
The phone consultation appointment is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have before booking an individual therapy session, and to get a better sense as to whether it would be the right fit. Due to the short time frame of this appointment, a phone consultation is not a therapy session.
Any homework, practice with skills, or reading done in between sessions will help in maximizing your progress. Your schedule, personal situations and readiness will always be considered prior to any expectations or recommendations set outside of the sessions. We are flexible and believe in doing what is right for you.
We require 48 hours notice prior to
cancellations. Any cancellations within this time frame, will not be processed.
Any cancellations prior to this time frame, will be fully refunded.
Your insurance company may provide you with
coverage for our sessions. Although we do not do direct billing to insurance
companies, you will receive an invoice that can be provided to your insurance
company for the means of reimbursement at a later date/time.
Although a formal diagnosis is out of my scope of practice, I can offer comprehensive assessments with the use of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (fifth edition). I can provide a clinical impression based on your described symptoms and overall presentation.
